Charging station replacement in 1.5 hours

The DUO ims can be installed on existing foundations and enables a complete charging station replacement in around 1.5 hours. This allows Westenergie to reduce investment and operating costs while providing a stable, comprehensive charging infrastructure.

Regulatory compliance and readiness for future standards

With LTE (4G) communication, the charging infrastructure is future-proof even after the planned 2G shutdown. The DUO ims meets all relevant technical and regulatory requirements, including AFIR, TAB, and upcoming specifications for smart metering systems. Municipalities benefit from a reliable, powerful and scalable solution for public spaces.

Future-proofing municipal charging infrastructure

Germany’s largest energy service provider and infrastructure provider, Westenergie, is working with Compleo Charging Solutions to modernize the public charging infrastructure in its network area. By 2028, more than 650 charging stations in municipalities in North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony, and Rhineland-Palatinate will be replaced by the DUO ims AC charging solution. The focus is on quick and cost-effective replacement of existing infrastructure without new construction and with minimal effort for the municipalities.
