Innovative DC chargers with 200 kW support the sustainable electrification of company vehicle fleet
High power charging for closed user group
ENTEGA AG, one of Germany's leading energy and infrastructure service providers based in Darmstadt, is committing to a stronger expansion of e-mobility within the Group. As part of this initiative, the company has now started to install 15 HPC eTower 200 chargers from Compleo at the Darmstadt premises of its grid subsidiary, e-netz Südhessen AG. Six additional eTowers are planned for regional sites of e-netz Südhessen. ENTEGA and Compleo have been cooperating successfully for several years.
ENTEGA AG and its subsidiaries stand for renewable energy generation, the traditional supply of energy and water as well as the operation and construction of telecommunications and energy networks and energy-efficient large-scale plants. By integrating the eTower 200 fast chargers for its own vehicle fleet, ENTEGA is underpinning its commitment to emitting less CO₂ and focussing on environmentally friendly mobility. ENTEGA is using the diverse expertise available throughout the Group: The installation and commissioning of the charging solutions will be accompanied by the subsidiary Energy Project Solutions GmbH, which will also subsequently take over various services.

“Before deploying the eTower, we already had very positive experiences with Compleo’s charging technology. The combination of technology, scalability, efficiency and future-proofing once again led us to choose Compleo.”
Thorsten Breitwieser, Managing Director of Energy Project Solutions GmbH
Quiet, powerful, practical: eTower impresses
ENTEGA chose the eTower for several reasons. Firstly, the technology stands out with its granular and state-of-the-art power electronics. This includes an exceptionally low sound pressure level of 49.4 decibels and an efficiency of 97.9 percent. This means that around 98 percent of the energy used by the eTower is converted into usable power, with only about 2.1 percent lost as heat. Additional advantages include the device’s electromagnetic compatibility. Furthermore, compared to a typical standard product on the market, the charging station exerts 2.5 percent less disruptive impact on the power grid. The HPC charger from Compleo also features a six-meter-long cable, one meter longer than the market standard. Another plus is its site concept, offering front access, back-to-wall design, accessibility and more. Moreover, the eTower can be easily and smoothly installed using WireHub and pallet truck openings. Its low depth and height make it an ideal solution where space is limited, such as grass verges or middle islands in parking lots.
The use of the Compleo load management system makes the interaction with the eTower even more interesting and easier. The load management from Compleo efficiently controls the available power of a charging station and regulates this within the network capacity of an entire charging park built with Compleo products.
“This is an important step in transitioning our fleet to electric mobility. The fast chargers allow us to reduce charging times and remain operational at all times. In doing so, we send a strong signal towards achieving our sustainability goals.”
Dr. Marc Zeller, Head of Organisation & Logistics and responsible for the main site of e-netz Südhessen in Darmstadt
